1. Place a filter in the AeroPress cap and rinse it with hot water to remove any papery taste. Discard the rinse water. Insert the plunger into the brewing chamber and place it on a sturdy mug or vessel, with the chamber upright.

2. Grind your coffee beans to a medium-fine consistency, add the desired amount of coffee grounds into the brewing chamber.  AeroPress recommends using 1 to 2 scoops of coffee (around 15-30 grams) for a standard cup. Heat water to about 195-205°F (90-96°C) and slowly pour hot water into the brewing chamber, saturating all the coffee grounds. Start a timer as soon as you begin pouring.

3. Stir the water and coffee grounds gently for about 10 seconds to ensure even extraction. Insert the plunger slightly to create a seal and prevent any leakage. Allow the coffee to steep for approximately 1-2 minutes, depending on your preference and the desired strength of your brew.

4. After the steeping time, firmly and steadily press the plunger down, applying even pressure until you hear a hissing sound or until you reach the bottom of the brewing chamber. This process should take around 20-30 seconds. Pour your freshly brewed coffee into your cup or mug and savor the flavors.

The AeroPress brew method offers a quick and convenient way to make a single serving of coffee, and its versatility allows for experimentation with various grind sizes, water temperatures, and brew times to achieve different flavor profiles.
